The popularity of canoeing drove the MANGAS family, in the tradition of its founder, ROMAN MANGAS, to set up a canoe, kayak and paddle factory in 1979. With hard work and enthusiasm, and our experience and dedication, we constantly strive to better our manufacturing, which is based on the needs and input of prestigious Spanish and international sportsmen like Juan José y Jose Luis Román Mangas. The latter is an Olympic Champion , is second placed in the World Championship, and is Spanish Champion as well as having other Spanish trophies and title to his name, as well as being Winner of the International Descent of the Sella.

    En 1989 the company decided to build a new plant - a considerable investment - with the latest technology and machinery, among which the most noteworthy are the drying ovens and vacuum system. We first began building competion canoes and kayaks, followed by paddles, and then moved into a field which has recently enjoyed a huge surge in popularity - leisure activities. In this area we co-ordinate with other local companies working to promote knowledge about the environment and in nearby rivers and lakes.
